Our Leadership
Dr. Bob and Margaret Rodgers, leaders of Evangel World Prayer Center for over three decades, have left a mark on their community and beyond. Dr. Rodgers has an unwavering passion for prayer and fasting which is a cornerstone of the church’s ministry, while Pastor Margaret’s commitment to empowering women has touched the lives of many.
Together, they co-founded Word Broadcasting Media, a national ministry that broadcasts its message across 54 TV stations and 7 radio stations, with a unique presence on the only broadcast Christian TV station in the Holy Land in Israel. Under their visionary leadership, Evangel World Prayer Center has flourished, with more than 20 extension churches in Louisville and the surrounding areas. These extensions not only strengthen the local community but also support inner-city outreach initiatives.
When they began their ministry, with a 40-day fast, Pastor Bob felt a calling from God to “reach the poor of your city.” They were obedient to that assignment and together Dr. Bob and Margaret Rodgers established The Lord’s Kitchen (TLK). TLK is a beacon of hope for the inner city, providing meals for over 60,000 people each month, offering housing for veterans, and aiding individuals on their journey to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Their ministry has transcended borders, with Dr. Rodgers sharing his message in as many as 47 nations.
Dr. Rodgers is a distinguished alumnus of Asbury Theological Seminary and holds an earned doctorate from Oral Roberts University. He is also a prolific author, with more than 60 books to his name, including the best-seller The 21 Day Fast. Together with his wife, Margaret, they are blessed with three children and seven grandchildren, a testament to their dedication to both family and faith.
